You should note that all treatments that I offer are strictly on an out-patient basis. I do not have admission rights to any private or public hospitals in the UK. Should you require in-patient treatment at any point in time, you should arrange this with your GP and Insurance.

I do not normally provide private prescriptions of medication unless it is a psychiatric emergency. In all other cases, if I think you may benefit from medication treatment I can, at your request, write to your GP with my recommendations.

Services:

Diagnostic psychodynamic assessment: this is a prerequisite prior to any treatment being suggested and commenced. The process lasts between 2-4 hours, usually arranged between 2-3 sessions.

Psychiatric consultations: this is for people who have completed the psychodynamic assessment and require psychiatric follow-ups and medication reviews. They can be taken independently or, if indicated, be combined with psychotherapy/counselling. The frequency of appointments is determined by you but you should be able to commit to at least 6 appointments for any meaningful change (or stabilisation) to be expected. Each consultation lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Substance-dependence consultations: whether you have developed dependence to illicit drugs and/or alcohol or you have been on prescribed psychiatric medication and you have difficulties discontinuing them, I may be able to assist you with overcoming such problems. You will need to be prepared to commit to fortnightly sessions for a minimum period of four months. We will review your progress after that and, depending on the results achieved, formulate a plan to progress further/prevent a relapse. This program can be taken independently or in combination with brief psychodynamic therapy. Each consultation lasts 50 minutes.
